Our Pre-Labor Day weekend show was a riot once Ophelia finally arrived. The set was decorated with some fabulous Nicky Awards, thanks to Aaron & the Urban Mo’s crew who were all winners at last weekend’s celebration. We talked about some of the highlights – and lowlights – of the event itself and a few audience members chimed in with their opinions. We also talked about outings to Pecs in North Park, the debauchery & silliness at this year’s Republican National Convention, gave a huge shout out to Producer Kurt whose mother passed earlier this week, shopping, food, pool parties, football, fundraisers and, of course, AIDS Walk. Have a safe and fun holiday weekend! Read More

Ophelia rejoined Aaron at our Urban Mo’s Copa Bar studio after a couple of weeks away & it was like she never left. After gabbing about the drama on Big Brother, we dove right in to chat about CityFest & the dunk tank, the upcoming Nicky Awards, AIDS Walk San Diego, Bear Hair by Chuck, Aaron’s t-shirts from WearThatShirt.com, Ophelia’s drag family, Glitz Glam & Grace Towers, the San Diego American Flag Football League, Mama’s Kitchen, the passing of a well-known community friend, the heat wave + so much more.
At the last minute, Dustin ditched Ian, Amber & Alejandra at the Brass Rail studio to go stalk some girl he’s all about…so they decided to just do the show without him. And, boy were they chatty. First, they put some rumors to bed about last week’s Nicky Awards discussion, then they talked some more about Water Fightgate & the Lily Pond reconstruction efforts, STDs, inspirational celebrities, upcoming events to benefit AIDS Walk San Diego, ‘outing’ people as trans and the sad passing of Phyllis Diller.
