Executive Producer Ophelia Later joined the They Said panel for one lively week in review discussion. LIVE from Cheba Hut 3/25/11

The whole crew was invited back out East way (that’s college area for those of you not in San Diego) to one bitchin’ weed-inspired sandwich shop, Cheba Hut, to get “toasted.” And did we ever, on one pinner of a spicy sub, followed by a Goo Ball of rice krispies, peanut butter, honey & cocoa. But before Aaron & Ophelia‘s munchies set in, they recapped a week of work, moms, computers, Dining Out For Life news and fashion school finals. Then, it was off to the races, with a follow-up conversation to Ophelia’s earlier Op-Ed about cry babies and boycotts, a little sub sandwich talk, gay couples as parents vs single moms & a special Craigslist offering from Aaron all about sharting at the gym. We finished up with some events including Flag Football Saturdays, Softball Sundays, Dining Out For Life, the Rodeo Beer Bust, PrideCard & GlobalMale’s Rampart 2.0 at the Brass Rail and Aaron & Ophelia’s April Fools Day return to the Match Game at The Hole to benefit Mike Dinwiddie’s AIDS Lifecycle ride from San Francisco to L.A.

LIVE with Dr. Tim Shannahan 3/22/11

March 22, 2011  |  Episodes, gay san diego  |  No Comments

Talk about adjustment! This week, Aaron and Ophelia sat down with Chiropractor extraordinaire and resident hotness Tim Shannahan from Inner Balance Institute to get the 411 on all things body alignment. Ophelia’s been a patient at Inner Balance for several years and recently was “thumped” by the good Doc which helps her maintain proper posture and alleviates back pain, something Aaron desperately needs. Dr. Tim has been helping keep San Diegans properly aligned for more than a decade and is very involved in the community. From massage chairs in the waiting room to an on-site esthetician, Inner Balance is a true sanctuary for feeling & looking great. Not only do they accept most insurance, they offer a discount to Pride Card holders too. And, as if that wasn’t enough, Miss Ophelia finished out the chat with a very pointed Op-Ed on gay boycotts of businesses, in particular those involving Target and Chick-A-Flick, er, Chick-Fil-A. So, turn up the volume on those earphones…you won’t want to miss this. Read More

LIVE from Fiddler’s Green 3/18/11

March 18, 2011  |  Episodes, gay san diego  |  No Comments

This week, we got our St. Paddy’s Day corned beef & cabbage on from the awesome sailing-inspired Fiddler’s Green restaurant in beautiful Pt. Loma. Owners Steve & Debbie treated Aaron, Ophelia, Joey, Bo & Bodyguard John to some authentic Irish hospitality, complete with the best homemade potato chips in the city, while the two recapped their weeks and dished some news, events & hot topics. The conversation got quite spirited during one of the most opinionated HSSS webcasts to date while discussing police officer sexual assaults, the devastation in the aftermath of Japan‘s earthquake & tsunami, charity scams, HIV infection & responsibility and billionaires giving away their billions (and who’s doing it better.) Don’t forget, weekend sports include flag football on Saturdays and softball on Sundays. And please sign up to be a volunteer ambassador for the 5th Annual Dining Out For Life event on April 28. Don’t live in San Diego? Find out if there’s a Dining Out for Life event in your city. Read More
