Just in time for Memorial weekend, Aaron, Ophelia & crew hit the newly expanded patio at everyone’s favorite neighborhood bar, Pecs. A man’s bar, bear country, or just an all around fun hangout, Pecs opens at 2PM every day serving up cheap, stiff drinks, good tunes, pool, food & absolutely zero attitude. We drew quite crowd as we delved into our weekly recaps and talked big news including the tornados and storms through the midwest, the Rapture, Adele, American Idol, Dharma Dogs and other new food trucks in San Diego and our own fond farewell to Oprah. We also reminisced our favorite Memorial weekend memories, quick weekend getaways and where we were 30 years ago when AIDS was first discovered. Of course, we finished up with upcoming events including Church at Babycakes, Rampart 2.0 at Brass Rail, Bear Night at Numbers and our big HSSS special event at Ra Sushi downtown on June 2 where Aaron & Ophelia will battle it out behind the bar to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital as part of Nicky’s Week featuring local celebrity guest bartenders. Yes, it will probably be a hooch-slinging shit show, but it’s for a great cause!

The tragedy in the MidWest will continue for weeks to come. I agree that the annoying crowd of the WBC is quiet the immature group. They really should put more effort into helping instead of “hurting” people.
I am extremely lucky to have only being “approached” by one tornado thus far, tornado season still has 5 weeks to go. Ugh!
